Technology:
This co-current unit entails the implementation of technology in which teachers can utilize the following links below. These links will be use to add to the content matter and provide a visual for the students. Students will have already gained historic background of responding through crisis throughout history and will now get modern examples that are more relevant to their lives. Technology is a vital piece of the lesson and will further cement the content by leaving the strong lasting impression in which we want our students to be able to take away from.
The "Historical Clips (Cuban Missile Crisis) video will be used in the second lesson of Ms. Aguliar's Spanish class in her teaching a lesson in Spanish providing the example of the Cuban Missile Crisis prior to having the students research their own Latin American crisis. Video is purely in Spanish and gives a brief background information of the history of the Cuban Missile Crisis without becoming to daunting on either the students or Ms. Aguilar. The implementation of this video is intended to reach the students who may not have taken a U.S. history course or are not currently enrolled in a U.S. history course.
The following links are links to be used in the co-teaching of the end of the unit in which teachers will make relevance of modern day crisis. Teachers will show all videos to demonstrate the different types of crisis. (Some video's may be hard to watch but will really drive the severity of the matter home.)
