Assessment Plan:
U.S. History: (Cuban Missile Crisis)
Lesson Number 1:
Teacher will assess the students through informal monitoring of the students during the transparencies in which the students response. The formal monitoring of the students will be in their notebook check and their written paragraph of whom they believe is responsible for ending the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Lesson Number 2: Teacher will assess the students through informal monitoring of the students during the debate. The formal monitoring of the students will be in their notebook check and their written response of their reactions to the top secret briefing.

Spanish for Spanish Speakers I
Lesson Number 1:
Diagnostic/ Entry Level- students will be assessed on their
ability to identify a major event that has influenced a Spanish speaking
country.
Lesson Number 2: Summative Assessment- students will be assessed on making connections of their piece to a major event that has influenced a Spanish speaking country and verbally communicate the impact that event has had on the people.

Unit Calendar:
Teachers will do their lesson to provide background information prior to giving the joint lesson on responding to crisis at the end of the unit. Vista is on the block schedule and this unit will take one week. As each teacher teaches their own lesson plan in their own classroom, teachers will commence together on the third and final day.
